Day One - No Problem

Day One came off without a hitch. It's just how amazing how much stuff I throw in my mouth without even thinking about it......until today. Having to photograph everything really helped.

Breakfast was: one egg plus one egg white, about 2TBS each of a yellow pepper and an onion, a dry piece of 100% whole wheat toast, and a tiny bowl of canteloupe.

Lunch: a 125 calorie spinach wrap, stuffed with assorted veggies, some sugar snap peas, and an apple

Dinner: a 6" sweet onion teriyaki sub from Subway, loaded with vegetables, and a bit of the sweet onion dressing. I had an apple as well.

I won't post pictures of my beverages unless it's something other than black tea, coffee, or water. I drink about 4-6 cups of tea each day.

I'll try to get a bit more creative on days when I'm not working.

Photographic Fat Removal

There is never a convenient time to start eating healthy. There's always a family birthday, anniversary, or some other type of food-centered event coming up. Whilst I wait to begin eating in a way that's not going to kill me, I keep adding on the pounds. I feel lousy. I don't want to go out in public. I hate buying clothes. I hate cameras, mirrors, etc. This isn't a good way to feel.

The only way to feel differently is to get these wretched pounds off---65 of them to be exact. The plan is this. I am not to eat anything that I don't first photograph. I'll post pictures of everything I've eaten at the end of the day.

This should serve two purposes----accountability and artistic expression. I love experimenting with food (wow--tell us something a little less obvious), making it taste good and making it beautiful. Maybe if healthy food looks as tantalizing as a Cinnabon, I'll be more apt to eat it. Anything to help me get back in the weight-loss groove.

I have rejoined the YMCA and my carcass should be on a treadmill as soon as I can find a pair of sweatpants large enough for my expanded derriere
